Conlin Road Phase I
Primary scope includes new construction of steel beam-bridge spanning 42m across poured in place abutment structures. Multiple girders were installed simultaneously. Additional works include, storm sewers, creek realignment, 200,000m3 of earth borrow (own forces).
Creek realignment occurred within environmental parameters & permits (MOECC & CLOCA). Development and implementation of erosion and sediment control plan to minize risk of sedimentation of waterbody during all project phases. Mitigation and minimization of destruction and disturbance to fish habitat, including Redside Dace. Facilitated diligent mobilization, placement, and operation of all machinery near water marks and bodies of water.
Project fast-tracking was implemented by construction multiple aspects of the project in parallel and accelerating work along the critical path with multiple crews.
Received the Ontario Public Works Association’s 2015 Public Works Project of the Year Award in the Transportation, $2-10million Category.
